Can Teachers Apply for the Private Tutor Permit?
Yes, teachers in both public and private schools may apply for the permit, but with strict conditions.
- Teachers are not allowed to tutor students from their own schools.
- They must obtain a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their school administration.
- They must sign a Code of Conduct, which prohibits conflicts of interest, protects student confidentiality, and bans inappropriate behaviour or physical/verbal misconduct.
