
Antigua and Barbuda is an independent Commonwealth state in the Eastern Caribbean. With some 365 beaches of clean turquoise waters, the lush tropical islands of Antigua and Barbuda are an inviting paradise and considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Antigua & Barbuda is a member of the United Nations, the British Commonwealth, Caricom and the Organisation of American States (OAS) among many other international organisations. Holders of the Antigua and Barbuda passport enjoy visa-free travel to approximately 150 countries, including the U.K. and the countries of the Schengen area.
The Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP) was established following parliamentary assent to the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Regulations 2014.
The passport will be valid for a period of 5 years and will be considered for renewal subject to the recipient having spent a total of 5 days in Antigua and Barbuda, since gaining citizenship, within the 5-year period.
Eligibility to Antigua & Barbuda CBI:
- The primary applicant must be over 18 years of age
- Family members should not be suffering from a contagious disease and/or serious health problems
- Should have received a free pardon, if at any time previously been convicted in any country of an offence for which the maximum custodial penalty is in excess of six months imprisonment
- Should not be subject to a criminal investigation
- Should not have been denied a visa to a country with which Antigua and Barbuda has visa-free travel and has not subsequently obtained a visa to the country that issued the denial
- Restricted Countries: Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, Somalia, Yemen, and Sudan. (Nationals of these countries are eligible if they migrated before the age of majority and/or have maintained permanent residence in any country other than those on the restricted country list, for a period of not less than 10 years and maintain no economic ties to any restricted country)
Investment Options:
- University of the West Indies (UWI) Fund: A contribution of US$150,000 for a family of six (6) or more (i.e. minimum number of persons per application is 6)
- National Development Fund (NDF): Donation starting from $100,000
- Real Estate Investment in Approved projects: for a minimum of $200,000
